With age comes great wisdom. Nowhere was that more true than on the red carpet where we think the reigning queens of the red carpet showed the younger ladies how it is done.
It was the seasoned vets like Meryl Streep, Sandra Bullock, Sigourney Weaver, Helen Mirren, Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz who showed the freshman class what it means to have class.
Kate, Sandy and Cameron all let their locks hang loose which as we well know is more difficult to pull off an maintain through the night than an up-do. Kate’s retro waves were especially 
beautiful– we would say she wins Best Supporting Hair for the evening (Sandy Bullock wins in the Best Hair category, clearly).
The Oscars are as old Hollywood as you can get and old Hollywood equals glamour. We’re looking at you Kristen Stewart! A messy updo is fine for the MTV Video Awards but at the big girl’s night out you need to bring it. We were unimpressed, K-Stew.
Helen Mirren and Meryl Streep both went up, as did many others last night, but these ladies did it with impeccable style. Thy never fail to 
impress. We love you guys!
So just a word of advice for the up and comers. Keep it classy like these ladies. They seem to now what they’re doing.

I was impressed that Helen Mirren’s updo was so fresh and youthful for a classic style…but everything she does is fresh and youthful!
